What exactly is “GO DAY”?

We’re glad you asked! If you’ve heard about Choose Greater Peoria, you’ve probably heard us say, “There’s more* here!” (you may have even seen more* messaging around town!). We’re passionate about sharing how much more time, space and opportunity exists in our region. It really is a whole lot more than people think.

That’s why we want everyone to have the opportunity to explore, discover and uncover the richness of Greater Peoria through events and unique experiences no other region can claim as their own!

Through a fun-filled day for families and friends, GO DAY is an opportunity to participate in sports, activities, arts and games and leave feeling inspired to “GO” share the positive stories about Greater Peoria.

This family-friendly (really, EVERYONE friendly!) event is FREE to attend. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.
The parking deck at the Peoria Riverfront Museum will be open. Street parking will also be available.
We’re accepting performance recommendations for the GO DAY stage. Email abby@envisioneventsinc.com if you have an organization or artist you’d like to see on the big stage.

About your GO DAY Sponsor: Choose Greater Peoria

While GO DAY wouldn’t be possible without many partner organizations, the event is sponsored exclusively by the region’s talent attraction initiative, Choose Greater Peoria.

Since its launch in May of 2023, Choose Greater Peoria has focused efforts on recruiting and retaining talent for the Greater Peoria area. It’s culminating the experience of more recent Choose Greater Peoria sponsorships (like Red, White and BOOM! and the Downtown Disc Golf Experience, just to name a few!
